Is there a better way to help your students who can't seem to grasp pitch or rhythm, beyond repeatedly correcting them and hoping things will stick? Or for more advanced students who are keen to pick up harmony, is there a more reliable way to teach it than on a song-by-song basis?
At this interactive workshop, Dr Darren Wicks will take you through the science and art of musicality and harmony, imparting teaching strategies to empower you to produce results that last, even in the most challenging circumstances. Bring your burning questions and student woes — the discussion component will see Dr Wicks addressing your challenges with targeted insights.

This workshop is open to members of the public. Teachers are invited to participate in the workshop alongside other singers and singing enthusiasts.
Teachers, observe and participate as Dr Wicks shares his knowledge in this harmony theory and group singing class. This interactive workshop will help participants learn the logic of harmony singing and apply it on the spot together with other like-minded singers.

4️⃣ Group Class with Dr Wicks

This workshop is open to other singers and singing enthusiasts. Teachers are invited to join as a Singer alongside other participants, or as an Observer to watch how Dr Wicks conducts the class. This class complements Session 5: The Art of Group Lessons.
Dr Wicks will take up to 5 Singers through a warm up, voice development exercises, and musicianship-related activities. Singers will work on a song chosen by Dr Wicks.

5️⃣ The Art of Group Lessons: Maximising Your Impact

Following Session 4: Group Class, Dr Wicks will break down and articulate how he runs a group class - from tailored yet cohesive exercises, to ensuring every participant feels included, engaged, and enlightened.
